Combine the soy sauce, 2 tablespoons water, brown sugar, sesame oil and red pepper flakes in a small bowl.
Heat a large deep nonstick skillet over high heat, spray with nonstick cooking spray and add the ground beef, breaking the meat up with a wooden spoon until cooked.
Add the onion, garlic and ginger and cook for 1 minute.
Pour the sauce over the beef, cover and simmer on low heat for 10 minutes.
*Note: I put mine on top of rice, topped it with sesame seeds and sriracha and added some of my favourite raw veggies to the side (cucumber, green onion, carrot & yellow pepper).
