Makes 4 Servings. Each Serving: 267 Calories; 14F/6C/33P

Ingredients

  • 1/4 Cup Soy sauce
  • 2 tsp Truvia or Splenda brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 Cup Yellow onion
  • 500 grams Extra lean ground beef
  • 1 tsp Ginger
  • 1 tsp Sesame oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced

Instructions

  1. Combine the soy sauce, 2 tablespoons water, brown sugar, sesame oil and red pepper flakes in a small bowl.

  2. Heat a large deep nonstick skillet over high heat, spray with nonstick cooking spray and add the ground beef, breaking the meat up with a wooden spoon until cooked.

  3. Add the onion, garlic and ginger and cook for 1 minute.

  4. Pour the sauce over the beef, cover and simmer on low heat for 10 minutes.

*Note: I put mine on top of rice, topped it with sesame seeds and sriracha and added some of my favourite raw veggies to the side (cucumber, green onion, carrot & yellow pepper).
