Why is this of interest you might ask? Because walking promotes fat loss and recovery and can also help build aerobic work capacity! I workout 5 times per week but unfortunately because I spend my day working at my computer and not moving around very much I don’t burn many calories. I have to make a point everyday to go for a walk. Steps can be tracked in a number of ways including apps on your phone where you would just keep your phone in your pocket or by wearing a device such as a FitBit, Apple Watch, Garmin, pedometer, etc. I aim for at least 8,000 steps everyday with my sedentary job (if you work a more active job then aiming for 10,000-12,000 would be more ideal) and this is one of the factors that I have contributed to my success with reaching my goals!
