The Great Syrup Debate

So you’re telling me one of these has 5x the carbs in it than one of the others does?

Did you know that 3 tablespoons of Aunt Jemima regular syrup has 40g of carbohydrates in it? For 3 tablespoons of Aunt Jemima Light there are 20g of carbs OR you could have 3 tablespoons of the E.D. Smith No Sugar Added for only 7g carbs. Don’t make the mistake of grabbing the E.D. Smith No Sugar Added Butter Flavoured Syrup like I did and expect that it has the same nutrition information as the other, it does not. It has 14g of carbs for 3 tablespoons. What does having more carbs mean? More sugar and calories. If you want to skip both you can opt for the sugar and calorie-free Walden Farms Maple Syrup (I prefer it much more than their Pancake Syrup version) which is the go-to choice around out house! And if you don’t like syrup or prefer maple or whatever it may be, that’s fine too but we just wanted to give you some #foodforthought.
