Does everything happen for a reason?
I received an overwhelming amount of messages after I announced that I was officially able to leave my job as a mortgage associate to focus my attention on my passion that is The Sweat Effect.
One message in particular really spoke to me when a friend reached out and told me how much she loved what I was doing and she too was transitioning from her job to something she really loved after a series of events that occurred. ⠀
I am a TRUE believer that everything happens for a reason and definitely believe that things (good and bad) are signs of where we’re supposed to be in life. Yes, we can make some of the choices that guide us down our path but sometimes there are things out in the universe that are out of our control that all come together to create our destiny.
I believe that the jobs and experiences that I’ve had in the past gave me that hustle and outlook on how I need to run a successful business. I believe that our thoughts and mindset that we portray into the world are what boomerang similar things back to us. Be negative? Receive negativity. Put out into the world what you want to receive back. I also believe that if there is something that we don’t like then we need to change it and take action. Life could pass me by if I just sit here waiting for it to happen, and I wasn’t put on this earth to just pay bills and die. Be the person that is going to get you to the place you want to be. ⠀
10 years ago I had “Peace, Love, Heart & Soul” tattooed onto my rib cage. I still stand by it as I am furiously passionate about the things I am passionate about and leave it all out there for the world to see. I am very transparent, what you see is what you get, but I also feel that transparency is part of my integrity. I will never say I am going to do something and not do it. I feel like people’s integrity and ability to put things out into the world go hand-in-hand in what is served back to you.
After I watched ‘The Secret’ it really resonated with me. For those of you that are unfamiliar with it, ‘The Secret’ is based on the Law of Attraction and how similar things attract each other, so positive thoughts bring positive things and negative thoughts bring negative things. Simply, if we think about things we want, we will get them. Now obviously I don’t believe that “getting things” is as easy as just saying ‘I want a new car’ and one appears, and I have stated that you also play a role in creating your own destiny, but perhaps by us having these goals in mind then subconsciously we are always finding ways to work towards them? I have a vision board (well I did, it was a whiteboard and I needed it to write a workout down in the garage but I took a picture of it before I erased it 😂) I had some business and life goals on there and guess what, I have taken steps that have either achieved those goals for me or have advanced me another step closer to them.
As far as negativity goes, has anything really good ever happened to that person you know that HATES everything and splashes their horrible outlook in the world? Have you ever had that one friend in your life that always complains about all of the people in their life that are dramatic? Would it perhaps be safe to say that drama breeds drama? These definitely aren’t coincidences either. Anyways, you can think I’m some weirdo with my belief system but I can tell you it really does wonders if you even just start with believing in yourself. I just truly hope that whatever “it” is, that you’re out there pursuing your dreams too.
