Healthy Whoopie Pies

A hybrid between a cake and a cookie, you’d never know these whoopie pies are a healthy treat packed with protein!

Healthy Whoopie Pies

Makes 3 Cookies. Each Cookie: 98 Calories; 1F/4C/18P

Ingredients

Cookie

  • 2 Tbsp (30mL) Walden Farms Maple Syrup
  • 4 tsp Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 30 grams Chocolate protein powder

Filling

  • 2 Tbsp (30g) Fat free cream cheese
  • 30 grams Vanilla protein powder

Instructions

  1. Place all of the cookie ingredients into a bowl and mix until a soft dough forms. If your dough is too sticky add more cocoa powder until you reach a consistency that you can form into balls.

  2. Shape out 6 balls (they were sticky so I had to use a combination of my fingers and a spoon for this), flatten them down and place on a non-stick cookie sheet.

  3. Bake at 395 degrees F for 5-6 minutes.

  4. While the cookies are baking, make the filling by mixing the fat free cream cheese and protein powder together.

  5. Once the cookies are baked and cooled, evenly distribute the filling between the cookies forming 3 whoopie pies. Enjoy!
