The McGriddle Panwich
introducing my absolute favourite breakfast… the mcgriddle panwich!
This protein, and fibre packed breakfast has quickly become a “go to”, whether I have guests over, or am cooking up a delicious breakfast for myself, it never fails to satisfy. Better yet, I can confidently say this recipe is MUCH better for you than any other breakfast sandwich out there.
McGriddle Panwich
Makes 1 Serving. Each Serving: 380 Calories; 32C/8F/45P - 5 Fibre
Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup Kodiak Cake Mix
- <1/2 Cup Water
- 2-3 Tbsp Walden Farms Maple Syrup
- 30 grams Light cheese
- 50 grams Ham
- 1/2 Cup Egg whites
Instructions
-
In a bowl, mix the Kodiak Cake Mix, water, and maple syrup together.
-
Divide the batter into two pancake portions. Spray a non-stick pan with cooking spray (I used butter flavoured) and cook the pancakes over medium heat.
-
Once the pancakes are cooked, remove and set on a plate. Place the slices of ham on the pan frying until heated through.
-
After the ham is cooked, remove from the pan and cook your egg whites.
-
Layer the ham, egg whites, and cheese slice on top of one of the pancakes. Top with the other pancake and enjoy the salty and sweet flavours!
