Welcome! If you don’t already know me, my name is Ashlyn Newlove and I am a wanderlusting, dog loving, healthy-food connoisseur with dreams as big as my personality.
For more than a decade I helped thousands of people with their health and weight loss goals through fitness and nutrition coaching. This is what lead to the creation of Smart Sip Cream Co. when I saw most of my client’s struggling with their fiber intake.
I could always teach my clients how to get enough protein in but they always struggled with fiber. It turns out 95% of North Americans don’t get enough fiber in their diet and this leads to weight management issues, increased hunger, blood sugar irregularities and an increased risk of colon cancer. We are seeing a rise in terminal colon cancer in people under the age of 40 because of this and I also recently lost my father to his courageous 8 year battle with terminal colon cancer.
This was how Smart Sip was born. I wanted to create a super convenient product that people use daily and could take with them anywhere – travelling, camping, backpacking, use in their hotel rooms, on planes (because it doesn’t need to be refrigerated) and have a healthier option while helping them reach their goals. Just because someone is on their health journey doesn’t mean they should have to eat and taste things that aren’t delicious!
Smart Sip is gluten-free, sugar-free, lactose-free, keto-friendly and every tablespoon serving is 25 calories with 3g of fiber to give you a deliciously creamy and tasty drink. I have felt the ups and the downs. Doubted myself. Then learned what it really feels like to flourish and actually reach your goals with something sustainable.
I was given the opportunity to launch my own podcast, The Butterfly Effect, so I could share my experiences and expertise with anyone who wants to listen. I absolutely loved recording these and hope to get back to new episodes again one day when I have more time. Until then check out the library with more than 30 episodes. As well I started vlogging my adventures on my YouTube channel so people can get a real bird’s-eye view of all my antics and shenanigans. My creativity is bursting at the seams, sometimes so much it keeps me up at night thinking of all the things I want to offer!
My husband, Curtis, and I, were born and raised prairie proud in Saskatchewan, Canada but in 2020 ditched the cold winters and made our move to Vancouver Island where we bought a house sight-unseen. We absolutely love traveling and throwing down in the gym together and have taken a ‘livin’ our best life’ approach to everything that we encounter on this crazy ride. There is no idea or dream too absurd, we live for the challenge!
