Protein Poptarts
Makes 2 Poptarts. Each Poptart: 325 Calories; 33C/6F/36P - 5 Fibre per serving
Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup Kodiak Cakes Power Cakes Mix
- 1/2 Cup Plain Fat Free Greek Yogurt
- 25 grams Black Forest Ham
- 1/4 Cup Egg Whites
- 15 grams Light Cheese
Instructions
-
Fold the Kodiak Cakes Mix and Greek Yogurt together really well in a bowl and work it until it is completely mixed and formed into a ball (it will look like it's too dry but that's the way it should look).
-
Spray your rolling pin with non-stick cooking spray and roll out until thin. Split in half and cut into 4 even squares for the top and bottom of your Poptarts.
-
In a separate frying pan scramble your egg whites, ham and cheese until cooked. Split this into two servings and place onto two of the squares.
-
Put your other squares on top and pinch around the edges to seal into a pocket.
-
Bake for 8-10 mins at 350 degrees until desired golden brown colour is achieved. Enjoy!
Recipe Notes
I want to try my next batch with egg whites, cream cheese and flavour god seasoning (seasoning available at Popeyes and Busted Barbell in Saskatoon - mention the Sweat Effect and receive 10% off your purchase). I think it will be delicious too!
