Greek Chicken Pitas
Easy greek chicken pitas
I like this recipe because you can cook it all and just weigh and log your chicken, Naan, feta, tzatziki, and veg in the portions you need to reach your nutrition goals. Just make sure when you’re logging your chicken, you search for “cooked” boneless skinless chicken breast in MyFitnessPal so you don’t accidentally log the raw version since the nutritional information between the two are much different. Yes, weighing your chicken raw and then cooking it is the most accurate, however, this works too! The most important thing is consistency and the fact that you actually weighed and tracked the portion size. I’m a big believer when we stress over the little things, like always making sure our meat is weighed raw, it adds too much stress to the grand scheme of things. As long as you search for it either “raw” or “cooked” (whichever way you are weighing it) you will be TOTALLY fine. The options on how much you want to put in your wrap are endless!
Greek Chicken Pitas
Ingredients
- Boneless, skinless chicken breast
- Red, yellow, green, or orange peppers
- Onion
- Cherry tomatoes
- Pineapple
- Greek seasoning (I used the Club House brand)
- Lemon juice
- Tzatziki (I used Opa brand)
- Light feta cheese
- Naan bread ( I used Sensations by Compliments Roasted Garlic)
Instructions
-
Cube the chicken, vegetables and pineapple in large enough chunks that they’ll stay on your skewers. Toss in lemon juice and sprinkle on Greek seasoning, stir. Place on skewers.
-
Heat your BBQ. I like to spray my BBQ with non-sick cooking spray so the chicken doesn’t stick. Grill skewers, rotating each side until chicken and vegetables are cooked.
-
Warm your Naan on the BBQ or microwave (it makes it just a little bit softer and pliable for your wrap). Take the cooked chicken and veggies, remove from skewers and place inside a Naan wrap with tzatziki and light feta. Enjoy!
