High Protein Edible Cookie Dough
You’re telling me this cookie dough is actually good for me?
A shop in Saskatoon opened up that sells edible cookie dough. Naturally, we had to stop in and try it before we moved away! The cookie dough was super delicious but very sweet and definitely not macro friendly. To kill my cookie dough cravings I came up with a version that won’t break the macro bank and is much healthier for you. Now you can have your cookie dough and eat it too!
High Protein Edible Cookie Dough
Makes 2 Servings. Each Serving: 290 Calories; 28C/9F/26P - 7F
Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup (130g) Chick Peas
- 1 1/2 Scoops (45g) Vanilla Protein Powder
- 2 Tbsp (12g) Powdered Peanut Butter
- 2 Tbsp (30ml) Walden Farms Maple Syrup
- 2 Tbsp (14g) Coconut Flour
- Stevia to taste
- 2 Tbsp (28g) Mini Chocolate Chips
Instructions
-
Rinse chick peas under cold water before microwaving for 2 minutes.
-
Remove from microwave and re-rinse them before adding to food processor. This helps take some of the pea flavour out of the mix.
-
Using a food processor, blend all dough ingredients except the chocolate chips together.
-
Add chocolate chips and stir in by hand (if your dough isn't sweet enough you can stir in additional stevia.) Enjoy!
Recipe Notes
Personally, if I were to make this recipe again I would cut back on the protein powder to just 1 scoop (30g). I used Mutant Pro Birthday Cake flavour but any vanilla will do.
